Founder and CEO, ZANGA African Metrics; executive coach and change practitioner
Executive coach, entrepreneur and change-management practitioner. Founder and CEO of ZANGA African Metrics, which builds psychometric leadership assessments designed for African and other high-context emerging markets. She sits on the global board of Management Sciences for Health.
Why this placement
Recipient of the Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Award for Coaching and Mentoring in 2021 — a won, panel-decided award, confirmed on Thinkers50's own site — followed by a Coaching Legends induction in 2023. Only two women in this entire study have actually won that award.
Building psychometric instruments designed for high-context emerging markets, rather than adapting Western instruments and hoping, is genuine intellectual work and addresses a real methodological failure in the assessment industry.
Editorial notes and exclusions
- No published books. Under a rubric weighting published work at thirty per cent this is the single largest gap on the list, and the reason a genuine award winner ranks eighth. Thinkers50 records her as working on her first book; she is not described here as an author.
- She has no personal website. First-party detail flows through profile pages she supplied, recycled across several sites, which is not independent corroboration.
- "1,200 clients across 8 African countries" is self-reported and unaudited. A ZANGA site badge reads "ABP Awards 23 – FINALIST" with no awarding body named, and finalist is not winner.
