Dr Marcia Reynolds
Arizona, USA
President, Covisioning LLC; fifth global President of the International Coaching Federation
President of Covisioning LLC and a behavioural scientist who served as the fifth global president of the International Coaching Federation. She teaches on the faculty of coaching schools in several countries and works on reflective-inquiry coaching methodology.
Why this placement
Five books with Berrett-Koehler — Breakthrough Coaching (2024), Coach the Person, Not the Problem (2020), The Discomfort Zone (2014), Wander Woman (2010) — is a sustained relationship with a serious independent publisher, and Coach the Person, Not the Problem is used as training material by other coaches rather than only read by clients. Writing what other practitioners teach from is the strongest form of the generosity criterion.
ICF's own site records that she was among the first twenty-five people worldwide to hold the MCC credential, and she holds the ICF Circle of Distinction. Her MCC is independently confirmed rather than self-asserted.
Editorial notes and exclusions
- The 2024 ICF Coaching Impact Award was conferred on her client organisation AEON Vietnam in the Emerging Organizations category, not on her personally, and is recorded accordingly.
- Her ICF honours carry governance adjacency, since she formerly led the body. A claim that she has been the top-ranked woman on Global Gurus for over five years does not hold — Brenda Bence ranked above her in both 2025 and 2026.
- A "Neuroplastician" credential is a purchased commercial certification, not an award, and is excluded. Her degrees name no issuing institution on any page found.
